יעל כנעני ילידת ארה"ב 1947. גדלה וחיה בקיבוץ כברי. הקימה עם יהודית ארנון את הסדנה באולפן למחול בגעתון. עמדה בראש החוג לתנועה וכתב תנועה באקדמיה למוסיקה מחול בירושלים. עוסקת במקביל בהוראת מחול, קומפוזיציה ואומנות חזותית בתחומי הציור, הרישום והמולטימדיה.
Yael Kanaani, born in the USA in 1947. Grew up and lived in Kibbutz Kabri. Founded the workshop for dancing with Judith Arnon at the dance studio in Gaaton. Headed the movement department and wrote movement at the Dance Music Academy in Jerusalem. Simultaneously engaged in teaching dance, composition and visual arts in the fields of painting, drawing and multimedia.
